The application is the most critical one to manage the IoT edge devices, data rules, data storage and data analytics uniformly. In Fogwing, Application is a group of edge devices or LoRaWAN Node/Gateway connected together virtually as one application. In order to create and configure any devices, collect data by group, handle rule and other operational data analysis by group, the user should first declare the applications. Each user may create multiple applications depending the use cases and grouping needs.

In short, Yes. It is necessary to create an Application in order to delegate the grouping of Edge Devices/Gateways that will be connected to Fogwing. Application is one such feature that provides clarity with the maintaining organized functioning of modules within the Fogwing IIoT Platform.

To do this, execute the following steps:

• Login to your Fogwing IIoT Platform account >> 
• Click Application icon from left side menu bar of Home page >> 
• Click ‘Add’ button from the Application page>> 
• Fill in the key information >> and 
• click on the ‘Submit’ button.

In Fogwing, Applications can be edited/modified to suit the changing needs of an enterprise or organization. Editing an Application is a hassle-free process. The Application can be edited from the Application List View.

To Edit Application, execute the following steps: 

• Login to your Fogwing IIoT Platform account >> 
• Click Application icon from left side menu bar of Home page >> 
• Application page with Application List View will appear >> 
• Click the ‘Edit’ icon against the Application that needs to be edited >> Complete the edits >>
• Select ‘Submit’ button.

All components of application can be edited.

Yes, it is possible to Delete an Application. An Application can be deleted in List View Page of Fogwing IIoT.

To Delete Application, execute the following steps:

• Login to your Fogwing IIoT Platform account >> 
• Click Application icon from left side menu bar of Home page >> 
• Application page with Application List View will appear >> 
• Click the ‘Edit’ icon against the Application that is to be Deleted >> 
• Edit Application page will appear >> 
• Click the ‘Delete’ button from the right bottom >> 
• It will be Deleted.

Updated image should be affixed.

In order for an Application to be Deleted, No Edge should be connected to the Application.

If Edge is connected to Application, warning alert will be triggered.

The connected Edge should first be Deleted to Delete the Application.
